Privacy Policy
Last updated 5 September 2026
This site collects as little personal data as it can. This page sets out exactly what is collected, why, and who else can see it.
What is collected
Browsing the site collects nothing that identifies you personally.
Two actions do involve personal data:
- Sending a message through the contact form. This collects your name, email address, and the message itself, so that I can reply.
- Buying a component. This collects your email address, which item you bought, and the payment reference Razorpay returns.
Card numbers, UPI IDs, and banking details are never collected by this site. They go directly to Razorpay, which is certified to handle them.
Why it is collected
Your email address is used to send your licence key and to verify, later, that you own a component when you unlock it. The record of which item you bought is what makes that check possible. Contact form messages are used only to reply to you.
There is no marketing list. I will not email you about anything other than your purchase or your message unless you ask me to.
Who else sees it
- Razorpay, the payment processor, which handles the transaction and holds the payment details under its own privacy policy.
- Amazon Web Services, where the site and the purchase records are hosted.
- The email provider used to deliver your licence key.
Nothing is sold, rented, or shared with advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else.
Cookies and analytics
This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Your theme preference and, after a purchase, your unlock token are stored locally in your own browser. They are not sent anywhere and are not readable by anyone but you. Clearing your browser storage removes them, and you can restore your unlock by entering your licence key again.
How long it is kept
Purchase records are kept for as long as the licence is valid, which is indefinitely, since the licence is perpetual and needs to stay verifiable. Contact form messages are kept as long as the conversation is useful and then deleted.
Your rights
You can ask what data is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email shruti.shankarnarayanan25@gmail.com and I will action it. Note that deleting a purchase record also removes the ability to restore your licence key, so I will confirm before doing that.
Security
Payment secrets are held server side and are never exposed to the browser. Data in the purchase store is encrypted at rest. No system is perfectly secure, but the amount of personal data held here is deliberately small, which is itself a meaningful protection.
